This German World War II Veteran speaks on his struggle and experience during the war. This interview took place at a World War II reenactment on January 30th, 2010 Admitting he was embarrassed to be captured by partisan French on his return to Normandy after the D-day invasion.
Denis:
After watching the video, this made me think more of how an individual view things on WW2. Not just the whole country's view of war. It must have been pretty scary to be in a war. All of the fighting and the chaos, and being captured or wounded.
Zahid:
After watching the video, I realized the soldiers story was amazing. Even though he didn't fought in the war in the begging, he fought in a Normandy, He was captured on his return to Normandy. This shows how life was tough for the people fighting in the war and how brutal war can be the Veteran was lucky to survive, but many others weren't so lucky
Chisti:
After watching the interview, I understood what this German World War II Veteran was speaking about, on his struggle and experience during the war. I was surprised that he actually admitted he was embarrassed to be captured by the partisan French on his return to Normandy after the D-day division. Hopefully he's living a better life now!
